The Frontier Institute is currently hiring for the following position:

Job Title: Tech Policy Analyst: Emerging Tech Policy Leaders

Position Summary:

Frontier Institute seeks a talented and passionate policy analyst to assist in planning, coordination, and  execution of strategies to advance the Institute’s tech and innovation policy objectives. 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in development and execution of Frontier Institute’s tech and innovation research agenda in coordination with organizational leadership.
  • Closely track public policy developments, identifying opportunities to advance Frontier Institute’s policy objectives.
  • Author and edit op-eds, policy briefs, one-pagers, videos, interviews, and other creative educational content.
  • Effectively communicate Frontier Institute’s research findings and recommendations to elected officials, key stakeholders, government employees, the media, and the public.
  • Build trusted relationships with elected officials, key stakeholders, government employees and media working on tech and innovation issues.
  • Represent Frontier Institute at events, speaking engagements, working groups, coalition meetings, legislative committees etc.

Requirements

  • Competent communicator with familiarity in government relations, communications, journalism, campaigns and/or policy fields.
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about topics such as emerging technologies, blockchain and cryptocurrency, entrepreneurship and start-ups, digital privacy and online censorship. Professional background in these issue areas a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake thorough investigative writing.
  • Detail oriented and accountable professional that can manage logistics and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

In addition to the above skillsets, the hiring committee will ask applicants to provide at least two writing  samples.

Hours, Salary, Benefits: Full-time, salaried position. Flexible hours and vacation policy. 

Location: Applicants located in or willing to relocate to Montana preferred. Remote applicants will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
