Frontier Institute Statement In Support Of HB 606
Legislation will protect the fundamental right of Montana landowners to peacefully use their property
HELENA – Today the Frontier Institute offered support for HB 606, a bill that follows Frontier Institute’s recommendations to protect the fundamental right of Montanans to use their property.
“HB 606 will encourage entrepreneurship by allowing Montanans to operate small businesses out of their home,” said Kendall Cotton, President and CEO of the Frontier Institute. “If we want Montana to be home to the next Apple or Amazon, we must protect the fundamental right of Montanans to start a business out of their own home or garage.”
HB 606 prohibits local government regulations from unnecessarily restricting a home business’s client appointments, number of employees, structural modifications, floorspace usage or interior storage.
