MTLeg Weekly Debrief: Halftime Report

Of the bills the Frontier Institute is tracking, fourteen have died in the process, while twenty-seven remain alive.

It’s official, we’ve reached the halfway point in Montana’s 2023 Legislative Session. This marks the point in which general bills must pass a final floor vote in either the House or the Senate, or they are considered dead. The exception to this are Revenue bills, study resolutions and constitutional amendments, which have a later date in which they can be transmitted from one chamber to the other.

The following is the current status of key bills we have been tracking:

Bills We Support Still In The Process
